Our Mission
We Believe No One Should Fall Through the Cracks of Their Own Home.
Handled exists because too many older adults are one loose rug or one dark hallway away from a crisis that changes everything. Volunteers are how we reach the families who can't otherwise afford the fix, or who just need a hand.

You Don't Need Medical Training.
Safety Days
Join a team for a morning installing grab bars, swapping bulbs, and clearing hazards in a neighbor's home.
Friendly Check-Ins
Regular visits to an older neighbor - a real conversation and a set of eyes on the house.
Skilled Hands
Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or handyman skills go a very long way here.
Outreach
Help us reach the families who don't know this option exists yet.
What We Ask
What It Takes to Get Started
Every volunteer completes a background check before entering a home - no exceptions, for the family's protection and yours. Beyond that, we ask for reliability, basic physical comfort with light work, and a willingness to follow a team lead on site.
Most volunteers commit to a handful of Saturdays a year, though skilled tradespeople and regular visitors are always in high demand.
