Home Readiness Assessment

One visit. A clear, honest picture of whether this home is ready for the next few years - not just today.

Free initial call • No pressure • Non-medical

The Situation

Your Parent May Be Doing Fine Today. That Doesn't Mean the Home Is Ready.

Most home hazards are invisible until someone's mobility, balance, or eyesight changes - and by then, it's a crisis, not a checklist.

  • A rug or cord that's never been a problem - until it is

  • A bathroom that's fine standing, but risky when unsteady

  • Stairs, thresholds, and dark hallways nobody thinks twice about

  • Overdue maintenance nobody's had time to notice

How We Look

We Walk the House the Way a Fall Happens.

From the bed to the bathroom at 2am. From the car to the front door with groceries. From the kitchen to the laundry with full hands.

We look at lighting, thresholds, rugs, stair rails, bathroom access, cords, clutter, smoke and CO detectors, water heater settings, and the maintenance that's quietly overdue.

  • A trained eye that's seen hundreds of homes, not just this one
  • Straight talk - what's urgent, what can wait, what's fine as-is
  • No sales pitch attached to the findings

Common Questions

About the Home Readiness Assessment

The initial call is free. The in-home assessment is a paid service, and we'll quote it plainly before scheduling. Plenty of families take our written list and handle the work themselves - that's fine with us.

Most homes take about 60 to 90 minutes for a full walkthrough, longer for larger properties or multiple stories.

No. Handled is non-medical. We look at the home - lighting, hazards, access, maintenance - not a person's health. We'll always point you to the right professional for anything medical.

That's common, and we go slow. Many families frame it as "someone checking the house is up to code" rather than a personal evaluation. We're respectful, quick, and not intrusive.

You get a written, prioritized plan - urgent, soon, and later - with honest cost ranges. If you want us to handle the fixes, we can. If not, the list is yours to keep.
